I really like the offerings at this place. Excellent lunch and dinner menu. Wraps are great and the Greek salad is delicious. A little pricey but the quality is worth the extra cost. Service is always smooth and it has a comfortable/lively ambiance.
I have been wanting to dine here with my family for some time and tonight we finally did; our only regret is that we didn't sooner. Our server, Brittney was so sweet and kind and very attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed. She informed us of all the popular dishes and reminded us to enjoy the happy hour specials! Thanks again, Brittney! (Your smile is infectious.) The food was beautifully plated and everything was VERY FRESH! I can't wait to dine here again. So far these items are our favorites: Garden Salad Salmon Entree Veggies Mushrooms Cheese Pizza Kabobs - Chicken and Steak Iced Tea Next time I will snap a few pictures
Food: Chicken Kabob, Hummus, Grilled Veggies I ordered the one skewer combo with chicken kabob, hummus, and grilled veggies. It was good, everything was cooked perfectly and it filled me up. I think Olive Pit makes for a good beginner type restaurant for those looking to dip into Mediterranean cuisine. The hummus is creamy, and is served with olive oil (as it should be), and the veggies were a nice little mix of different veggies that got some grill marks on them. Restaurant: Inside it is very spacious, and there is plenty of tables. Parking can be a little tight as there is a few restaurants in the same plaza that need to share the little parking lot. Notes: The food is overpriced in my opinion, but it is good. if you like the food here, roll down to Little Arabia off of Brookhurst in Anaheim.
I love the Olive Pit! It is always a treat when I get to come here. The outdoor patio is perfect for a summer night. If it gets chilly, they can turn on heaters by request. The food is consistently delicious and high quality. I ate here the night before my marathon in October 2023 and my stomach and body reacted well to the food the next day!! The wait staff is always very friendly. They are welcoming at the check-in stand and will check on you during your meal an appropriate amount of times.
Tried Mediterranean food for the first time. Did not know what to expect. It was soooo good. I do not remember our waitress' name but she had purple hair. She had great table side manner. We really appreciated it. Husband got a lamb burger and said, "hands down the best burger I ever had." I was full from eating earlier so I went with Cobb Salad with grilled chicken. It was fantastic! Husband said the feta fries were "ok" because nothing could top his burger. We will be back!!!!
I spent hours trying to find a place that my dad could eat at on my most recent trip (restrictive diet). He had been to Olive pit the week before with my brother and he liked it and suggested it. I was honestly very skeptical since it looked like a chain, but I decided to give it a try. It's close enough for him not to have to drive, and I had to go to Long Beach Airport afterwards, which was not too far. It also was lowkey and not too crowded, so quick to get our food and get out of there. We ordered: Grilled Salmon entree with Roasted Mushrooms & Basmati rice - I only tried my dad's mushrooms, but they were actually very flavorful. But he seemed to really enjoy his entire dish, so I can't complain. Lamb Gyro Entree with Potato Frites and Tzatziki - Everything about this dish was divine. The Lamb Gyro were a little thicker than I've usually seen, but they were nice and crispy on the outside, yet very moist, juicy, and flavorful on the inside. The fries were battered and crunchy. Almost like Popeyes fries (which I love) but a little thicker. The ketchup surprisingly was very helpful in cutting all the fattiness from the rest of the dishes. The Tzatziki was also very good. It was thicker than I've had before but that wasn't a bad thing. Hummus - This was standard. Waitress also suggested Spicy Cheese or another one but I didn't want to blow up my plane with cheese dip. Very good overall. Would gladly take my dad back here.
Wait time was long during lunch. Food was worth it. Had to rush out and couldn't finish eating because I didn't have enough time to eat but I'm looking forward to the leftovers. Lamb was flavorful and the veggies and hummus were delicious. About $20 per plate/dish, but honestly worth it. I'd order ahead next time so that I can enjoy it during my lunch without feeling rushed. Plenty of parking outside in the lot, and plenty of inside and outside seating. Most tables seat 2 and 4. Couple of tables can seat more.
I was helped at the register today by Eric. He heard it was my birthday and surprised me with some delicious baklava. BIG THANKS. I really like this place! The food is super fresh, which is evident by the perfectly ripe tomatoes and lettuce. On my last visit I enjoyed the chicken wrap with a side of hummus, which was delicious. They have inside and outside seating, which is ideal in CA where the weather is generally nice. I continue to go back.
